Answer: Yes and no.

Yes, we are still going to do it. We're going by the policy that we always finish what we start (Smash Hit was technically DONE and the DVDs were extracurricular work). Too bad Abismo (hereon known as "Assmo" and "Bitch") doesn't feel like working or encoding it at the moment. Please send emails to bitch at_the-triad.org or assmo at_the-triad.org to vent your anger.

In other more bright news, the guys at Basugasubakuhatsu wrote up an entry about the horrible lyrics in the ED of Higurashi. You should go visit them and leave a comment. Looking at the other group's lyrics made us think to try less next time we encounter such songs. Make rhymes out of random thoughts... like make a song about my loli dungeon... Hmm...

Hey, this is Hung from Basugasubakuhatsu! Congrats on the win! And great job figuring out what the heck was being said. I look forward to your future engrish translating endeavors.

goddamn japs

I always wondered what the reason for putting subtitles to "English" lyrics was--now I know. I respect the way Shinsen handled the OP to Black Lagoon: don't even deal with that bullshit.

Anyway, congrats to Triad. This just reaffirms my belief that your release will always be the best for a series.

Or at least wait for the official lyrics to come out and then use those. That way we know what was actually sung.

Congrats Triad. I always knew you guys did quality work.

Re: Q: Higurashi.... dead?

Good job getting closest, but there's really a strong point to be made against trying in the first place. It'll only open you up to ridicule when you inevitably get it wrong.

Better to leave it up to the viewers, who supposedly know English anyway, and not cluttering up the animation with unless words.
