I've held off downloading wind's subs since I was waiting for Triad's version. But since they think that wind's are better than Ayu (and I've seen a couple of series subbed by Ayu), then I guess they're not that bad. Still gonna keep Triad's version for the DVD though.

Hah, I'm getting Higurashi from Triad only too, mostly because it always feels so weird to switch groups after you've started with one. It's just little differences that frustrate you.

I saw episode 1 by Wind and I erased it immediately! What the HELL makes you guys think it's better than Ayu ?! Perhaps they've gotten better since ep 1, but ep 1 was just BAD!

WInD themselves denounce their first couple of episodes. They've apparently (being another Triad-only follower of the series, as comprehension is critical for this series, I can't say I know from direct comparisons) got considerably better since. Ayu, on the other hand, have good series and bad series, and Higurashi has proven to be a terrible one for them.

Oh, trust us. Wind's better.

I held off as well, I like triad the best

When I saw wind translate 『わるくない』 as "terrible" instead of "not bad" I gave up on them. If you say they've improved since then, good — but I'll still wait for Triad's versions.

Yeah, I tried two wind eps before Triad started out, and they were so bad it was physically painful. I've heard they get better, but I'm not taking that risk again. And Ayu aren't really any faster than The Triad's been lately.
