Besides, quality doesn't really sell itself. People who watch fansubs don't understand japanese so you need anime like Black Lagoon to notice that something is wrong with translation.(little req: do translations to BL, I would really want to know what heppens in the series without having to learn the bloody language) Also, people threat it as warez and are used to shitty releases. Codecs are at fault too - 500ms audio lag is nothing compared to few ffdshow/k-lites I had doubtful pleasure to use. |

Quality does count for some people. I understand about 50 to 75 percent of the Japanese I hear, and leave the remaining percentage to the subtitles. For me, seeing accurately translated text (e.g. "kono yaro" = "bitches") adds to the viewing experience, and helps me learn the language more. Some people wouldn't mind "nihon" being mistaken for "honjitsu". Then again, there are people who would. |

Some groups may not do QC after encode. Mine for example. About the a/v desync, once I made a 0.04sec desync and nobody noticed it. However, with 0.33seconds desync(before release encodes) it will troubles the timers and typesetters. -anonymous encoder |
