Still, they are some decent shows that are only subbed by sub par fansubbers. Watching a lousy release and at least getting the gist of what's happening is preferable to watching a raw and having no clue what's going on. It's certainly better than having to learn another language.

Seriously? It's not like fansubing groups get money everytime you download, so I doubt you'll accomplish much by boycotting bad sub jobs. Not to mention you might have missed out on an interesting series.

Yeah, I may miss out on a good series once in a while if nobody worth watching subs it, but I'm not gonna sit here twiddling my thumbs and cry about it. I guess I just have a better imagination than some people, because I can find something else to do. :P

I suppose I could do something else and just wait for it to be professionally translated, but I might forget about it in the interim (which would be annoying, to say the least). Besides, fansubs are made by fans, not the aforementioned professionals, so you can't expect them to be perfect. At least groups that try hard and give their all shouldn't be written off as irredeemable just because they made a few mistakes.

But why are you watching the releases of other groups doing shows that you've obviously already seen from also working on them? Well, whether you're watching their releases or not, posting on your site about how shitty the group is and how stupid people who watch or enjoy their releases are sure is a great way of adding inches to your e-peen.

Seriously, Akagi is definatly one of the best shows i've ever seen. You can't say that it's unoriginal, and it's an over-popular game for young and old in China\Japan.

Yes, excellent response, very insightful, as long as you take it out of historical context. Narutaru was the first project Triad did as a separate group, and we were still working out the finer points of things such as group management and distro, so a joint project made sense at the time. Unfortunately, it was also some of the worst work we've ever done, and I would change a ton of things about it if we could do it again.

I would imagine they have to maintain a certain level of competence in order to keep their jobs. It's not like there is swarms of translators on every project. If something is off, it would be easy to find out who was responsible. Besides, the people that take those government or corperate jobs are the type of people who can speak five languages fluently or something ridicules like that. Of course they wouldn't take an animé subbing job.

I'm not sure where you got the idea I cared about what you wanted to know, because I don't.
