I haven't even watched episode 12 yet, but I'm going to predict 13 based on what we already know:
- More crying
- More intense moral debates
- Probably more beam walking
- In fact, there's probably naked beam walking while they cry about pushing each other and the narrator drones on. But what do I know, I haven't seen it.

If the beam is electrocuted and assuming walking on it with their shoes keeps them safe, i hope they get creative |

They shouldn't get electrocuted from touching it, it's the same principle that lets birds sit on power cables. Or am I missing something? |

rofl. Okay guys, the electricity is always there. They can walk on it because the soles of their shoes are made with rubber, which is a crappy conductor of electricity. People aren't non-conducters, so if they touch the beam with anything other than the soles of their shoes, they will be electrocuted. This doesn't involve anyone else, the electricity doesn't cut on when people touch it, and even if it did, they still have the rubber soles to protect them. Birds can sit on power lines because of a reason I'm too lazy to look up, but if a person touched a power line, they would get electrocuted. |

Er, well, atleast assuming that everyone doesn't have nonrubber shoes, since they didn't get electrocuted from just standing on it. |

A person could sit on a power line and not get electrocuted, assuming that they aren't touching the ground or anything that's connected to the ground. |

Electricity question solved !!!
The most of the comments about electricity is right. As electrician i have though about this answer: Since there is a gap in the pole lets asume this: There are two smal poles seperatet with rubber and thats make the gap. (Both ends of the pole seperatet by rubber too) ==> http://img4.imagebanana.com/img/z3ecgz0z/Pole_of_Death.bmp.png This Explains: -Why does it short circuit at the test with the iron rod -Why does it spark when the tears or sweat drop down -Why does it spark heavy when you touch it (short circuit with the hands) |

@3689: I though of that too, but it depends on a person having to touch BOTH poles to get a shock. Not a certain death at any rate.. |

3708: It's pretty damn cetain that if you fall off and grab onto the beam, at some point you'll touch both halves at once. Unless you somehow manage to catch yourself on the very edge and then inch the entire way along by your fingers, but I doubt any of the contestants are in the right state of mind to think of that (if they're even physically capable). |
