The longest part in the fansubbing process is arguably the translating portion. I'm not touching this shit in any shape or form so the speed in the Kaiji releases will probably remain the same; a month after it airs to spite people like you.

The last few frames were really depressing. It goes from crappy second season animation/design to your beautiful first season triad tag. I miss Madhouse.

Excellent sub of first episode of season 2. I agree with how this season is not as a classic in its atmosphere compared to season 1. I think people confuse quality with style. Season 2 has the more or less the same amount of quality as season 1 but with a different style (animation is not by Madhouse this time). This change may be hard to adjust for some people and for others, it does not matter. Anyways, good work, The Triad!

" (if you couldn't read you can't translate it, so it was a little shock at the beginning^^'). And another thing could be the opening, I recognized that it wasn't timed very well, but that could be caused by my computer, so it mustn't be a failure of yours.

I only can say that I love your sub, and say 'Thank You' for another time.

after looking at the manga more closely you'll see that the new "look" actually matches the original manga's style more for the characters. Problem is, it works okay for the manga, but you blow that up and you get shit. They're proud that Yu Aida was consulted, but I'm pretty sure he didn't say "make it look like my style more, only ugly moe stupidness"

But they clearly overdid it. Instead of trying to change the look to adjust it more closely to the manga they should've kept the old style which is closer to the animation in the manga than it is in season 2.

Yuu Aida wasn't just "consulted", he's pretty much in charge of the whole thing. And apparently he's such an ass that nobody wants to work with him, which is why they did not manage to get any talented people on the staff, and thus the show looks like it does.

Oh, and word is also that Yuu Aida didn't like the first season at all.
