Kaiji needs to stop thinking about only himself in a game that involves reading your opponent's mind. I do admit the drill buzzing in your ear would be terrifying though. Especially with an old guy chanting, "Drill, drill, drill." |

EPIC WIN
SURPRISE BUTTSECKS! (I hope to GOD there are some Yugioh: Abridged fans here...) This is the most EPIC WIN since the last Kaiji release. Good job, Triad. I always look forward to your subs. They are the darkness at the end of my brightly lit tunnel of torment. You see, in my tunnel, there are spikes constantly coming out of the walls and poking me. Sometimes they go further than poking though, and actually penetrate my skin by an inch or two... Unfortunately, though, I can't reach the dark cinematic area of the tunnel without being stabbed nearly, if not completely, to death... But once I do reach it, I can watch your subs as if they were theatrical releases, for within the darkness lies a huge couch and a big-screen tv hooked up to a behemoth multimedia/gaming PC. If I may make a comparison here, my brightly lit tunnel of doom is somewhat like the highly elevated balance beam of doom. I must cross and face death to reach my glorious golden prize. Albeit, the end is not a trap... (I hope... I haven't QUITE reached it yet still downloading =/) Good job, guys. Good job. Oh, and thanks for not waiting until September. I don't think I could have handled 8 months (including Feb and Sep) in my blinding tunnel of pain. |

I think Kaiji is making a bit of a mess of it. You see him put his hand on the emperor or slave card and start sweating and thinking a lot, it becomes obvious which card is the non-citizen. If I was him, I would do bluffs like that, pretend to be really nervous about playing a certain card, then changing his mind to make tonegawa think that he is playing a citizen. He really needs to bluff with his emotions. Still, I suppose I don't have a drill in my ear. Other stuff he could do is use a number system to get a more or less random card. If tonegawa looks like he knows what kaiji will play, then kaiji could do multiplications in his head, say 3 x 4 x 7 = 8(4) = play the 4th card or some such. Stuff that is too complex to know before he does the calculations. |

Even if he picks randomly, he still has to look at the card. Unless he can pretend to look at it or has a good poker face it would be easy for Tonegawa to guess which one he picked. |

Well that only impacts half the plays, since when Tonegawa plays first it doesn't matter if he reads Kaiji when he plays the card because it is too late. I still think it would be much harder to read when Kaiji plays first as well. The easy part to read is when he is deciding, should I play the slave/emperor or should I play the citizen, then read if he takes the safe or dangerous route. But if he chooses randomly and is resolute it shouldn't be too hard to conceal his feelings and he plays the card. |

Thinking, in newspost comments? It's more likely than you think. I was watching rewatching Kaiji earlier, and some of the final frames of the episodes are manga scans from the E-card arc. Tonegawa looks nervous . . . |

Online version: http://www.veoh.com/videos/v401830456qQZNaB?c=Kaiji00 As for the card game.. I bet Tonegawa is just planning on picking Emperor as the last card, hoping that Kaiji would chicken out before that and kill his Slave. This is really just a game of luck in essense - Kaiji is making it more difficult for himself by actually thinking what to play. |
