In this episode, Masochistic Elvis and life on the farm.

For those with video playback problems, I suggest updating your ffdshow or mplayer.

New CCCP release plays nicely with the new x264 build.
Get it here.

Size: 146456792
CRC: fcec055f
MD5: f7ad5f64fca2527240abd4b9835738b9

UPDATE: The video problem is caused by a bug in the older ffdshow/ffmpeg decoders. Right now we suggest updating to the newest version of CCCP if you're on Windows or grabbing the latest SVN source for mplayer if you are using Linux.

Mac people: Supposedly MPlayerOSX works fine. Link: http://mplayerosx.sttz.ch/, also reported as good is http://perian.org/

Latest stable version of cccp (January something 08) shows corruptions for me. Installed ffdshow_rev2110_20080908_clsid over the original ffdshow folder fixed the problem.

The real question is why was I able to watch the first 4 episodes of DMC and every other one of Triad's releases before without having to do this? : /

Was borked here too, fddshow update fixed it. Wierd. You changed encoder? Or he/she just updated his codecs and/or used some new settings for this ep?

Capitalist Pig's favorite phrase

"大丈夫す。 大丈夫す。 私emoですから。"

Daijoubusu, daijoubusu. Watashi emo desu kara.

"I'm fine. I'm fine. I'm emo.

"大丈夫す。 大丈夫す。 私Mですから。"

Daijoubusu, daijoubusu. Watashi M desu kara.

I'm fine. I'm fine. I'm a mashochist.

Which is it?

The second one fits the context where he says it, but it sounds like he's saying "é·mó" instead of "é·mú".

v2 = epic win

So I updated ffdshow, installed the sp1 c++ files, restart my computer, and tried both zoom player and media player classic. Suffice it to say, I wouldn't be commenting if it fixed the problem in any way. The "new x264 build" seems more "erroneous" than "new." Will I have to download more crap just to TRY and get it to work, or will a v2/foolproof solution be provided?

Yes installing the newest version fixes the problem but you dont have to get all pissy over something like codec compatibility and should probably put a note to update with a link somewhere other than the comments page of the episode thats broken.

I know your not known for being nice guys but damn something like this is just asshat territory.

Link to ffdshow that worked for me.

8717: It's just a new build of x264, which happens to break "backwards compability". Of course people want to take advantage of newer builds instead of sticking with an ancient one.

Subs were botched for me too, as well as freezing during the showing, and completely unviewable/unreadable screens. I am trying a redownload. I use VLC, but if it's still borked I will try another player or something. All the other episodes have worked great though, so thank you very much. Don't call me a retard please.
