As a note, this is (one of our) first release(s) in .mp4 format FOR SSSSSSSSSSHQ QUALITY (or not). The real reason for it is because we didn't want 233 MB encodes. Mp4 would have the same quality at a lower file size, so, that's the reason pretty much. Kanna will also have another gift for you leeching whores later too once I finish TLing some shit. Guess you'll just have to look forward to that for now. There'll be some wait for episode 2 as well while we wait to get a decent raw. Tschüß. (That's German for Bye by the way. YES. The fansub I have for xxxHolic Manatsu no Yoru no Yume is ostensibly 720p, and I'm inclined to believe that it's the truth. There's fairly extensive use of CG to texture the backgrounds, and the textures are all very sharp and full of fine details. The cel animation also has nice, clean edges, but that could easily have been the result of a very good upscale+sharpen process. I just watched ep02 from DGz, and there's some rather nasty aliasing, probably the result of using a not-so-good scaler, maybe they used that 720p raw. I didn't see anything like it in their ep01. There's some very minor aliasing in Triad's ep01, but it's probably not even noticeable for most viewers. |

I personally didn't watch any of the speedsubber releases, because I knew The Triad would do a better job anyway and it would be worth waiting for such awesomeness. Thanks guys. Truely loyal fans know that good things are worth waiting for, and this certainly fits the bill. |
