Kaiji 21 was a disappointing rehash of the glory of 20, but *less* glorious; and it ended on a retarded cliffhanger that we all already know the answer to. They spent way too long on Tonegawa's thinking and could have easily cut out 3-4 minutes of it to just finish the match off.

Or so I thought before checking out 22. I guess that, considering the nature of the punishment and the speech Kaiji gives to the others in the bathroom about wanting to defeat the chairman to avenge Ishida and the others and mistaking Tonegawa for the true enemy, they couldn't have crammed all that into one episode. Oh well.

To all the Zawa Zawa'ers, 22's a good finisher of an episode, but it doesn't have much of anything exciting in it. Unless you abnormally love BBQs. So I'd say quit champing at the bit for a week and wait for 23. But that's just me. I guess the one thing 22 is really good for is setting up Kaiji's ultimate long-term goal of defeating the chairman.
