As for Class 5-2, we haven't abandoned it and it's almost ready to be released. I'm sorry I can't appease the "When pigs fly" crowd. Trust me, I tried.
Our Higurashi DVD releases are going as planned and 19 should be out after or at the same time as Class 5-2.

Well shit, this is excellent timing. I saw this on 4chan tonight and thought I would make it easier for you guys to access the original rant. LordBrian's creative work has brought this site from 500 views a day to a bit more than that.. Plus, it shows how far we've come without karaoke, which is not far at all. Anyway, I went to dig up the article and discovered that exactly one year has passed since it was posted. This calls for a celebration!

I finally fixed up the theme... sorta. New additions and fixes:
- Added a recent torrents block so you lazy bastards have one less step to get your fix.
- Fixed the polls, but I killed the older polls (oops).

About the downtime earlier:
I was in the middle of switching the site to a new server, so obviously I broke a lot of shit before I got everything working again. Well, now that the downtime is over and everything works as it should, we are preparing more Higurashi and Akagi for you whores. Akagi will see a large time gap between 17 and 18 mainly due to incomplete DVDs; blame anrp. Umm... what else... Oh yeah, some links on the website have changed, and all our active members have their own mailbox. So you can email LordBrian directly and bitch to him about how bad we all are.

The only reason we comment on groups doing the same shows as us is generally because we don't watch most of the other shows out there, because they <i>suck ass</i>. Groups working on other shows suck just as much as groups working on the same shows as us, they just happen to have really bad taste, too.

All the wonderful responsibilites of web admin I take on... weeee...
One of which is keeping the address http://www.the-triad.org alive. It's due for renewal and I decided to switch registrars. Expect some downtime during the switch while I reroute everything. That is all.
OK guys, here's the situation: We have an encoder who's busy all the time and we need someone to fill his role!
Now, if you or anyone you know can encode and can do it well, then by all means APPLY! I know you guys want Akagi and Higurashi faster. We have 7 scripts waiting for encode. The faster we get an encoder the faster you'll get new releases.
Requirements for encoder:
- Good knowledge of encoding tools including AVIsynth, vdubmod and Adobe After Effects
- For Adobe After Effects: Be able to produce and integrate onscreens (Check out our Higurashi episode previews for examples; You MUST be able to do this and more!)
- Produce encodes at good quality/Knowledge of filtering and cleaning video
- Tolerate criticism and be prepared to reencode until it's all right (That means being able to stand Labaamen's v21 scripts)
- Familiar with IRC
- Since we do ALL our releases in XViD, be sure you are proficient with this codec!
- TRUSTWORTHY

So after some emails about scripts arriving in my mailbox I decided to get off my ass and write an FAQ about it. Since it's the most annoying question next to "Is Higurashi 5 ready yet?", I stuck the link on the main page. If you're thinking of starting a Brazilian/Italian fansubbing group, read that.
