General Notes: Much like in other anime series with annoying characters, several characters end their sentences with random words or sounds. Don and Katsu end theirs with the kind of sound a drum makes, which we've retardedly translated as "ba dum" or variations thereof.

In terms of the names we've picked, we mainly stuck with the official English translations Namco went with, aside from a couple exceptions. To further explain:

Mr. Bachio: Bachi = drumstick; -o is a common suffix for male names in Japanese.
Donko: Don is one of the sounds you make when you hit a Taiko drum on its surface in Japan. -ko is a common suffix for girls' names in Japanese.
Ms. Mariko: Ms. Mariko is written in Japanese as Mizumariko. As mentioned before, -ko is a common suffix for girls' names in Japanese. Mizumari (Ms. Mari) is actually the word for water balloons similar to yoyos that you commonly find at festivals in Japan.
Wada Don: The word for the Japanese Taiko drum is Wadaiko, and Don (again) is used to denote the sound a drum makes.
Wada Katsu: Katsu is another sound effect word for banking on a drum.
Piyo Rangers: Piyo is the sound effect for the noise little birds make.

19:30 - If you couldn't guess, this is a reference to John Travolta.

26:49 - All of the food floating above Donko's head are meals that have the sound "don" in them.

27:02 - All of the food floating above her head are meals that have the sound "katsu" in them.
