50 - "Gothello" is a game Dokuro-chan made up. It does not exist in real life, but if you buy the limited first edition R2 DVD, you can own the game too! It comes with a wonderful Japanese rule book. We believe it's basically a game that's a combination of Go and Othello. Hence, Gothello. Or maybe the Go just indicates five-colored Othello (since "go" means "five" in Japanese). It also has the wonderful, though probably unintended, double (or triple) meaning of GOTHello.
19 - Dokuro-chan's weapon, the Excalibolg, is a combination of two very famous weapons - the Excalibur, King Arthur's sword, and the Gae Bolg, a "belly-ripping, barbed spear" that was given to Cuchulain, a Celtic mythological hero.
56 - Dorayaki are pancakes with red bean paste filling.
00 - The Kouhaku Utagassen, also known as the Red-White Song Competition, occurs on December 31st every year. It's a commemoration event where famous popular male and female singers fight with songs, as the Japanese count down to the New Year. As a note, the teams are broken into male-only and female-only teams, and the colors each team wears (red or white) alternates every year.
19 - Sabato-chan's weapon is called the Durandal. This was the famous weapon of a mythical knight known as Roland. We are aware it's called Durandarute in Japanese. However, according to several online resources, it has multiple names depending on the country you're in. In German they call it Durandarte, Durandart, Durindart, or Durindarte. In Italy, they call it Durindara, and in France and America, they call it Durendal or Durandal.
