"Lying right before us right now are our lives that are too great, and a boundless amount of time, both of which we don't have any idea what to do with."

Makoto Shinkai has recently informed us on his website (http://www2.odn.ne.jp/~ccs50140/short/index.html.) of his new work in progress scheduled to be released this year, 2006. <b>TRIAD INTENDS TO SUB THIS.</b> A translation of the article can be found below:

Currently, we are in the middle of production of a new animation due to be released in this year of 2006 (Right now, we have yet to decide the name of this film.) The story will be made up of three completely independent short works (all of which will be 10-some od or some od-10s of minutes) all connected solely by the main character, who will be axle for all of this. When all of them are combined together, it will make a film that's more or less 60 minutes long.

The setting for this film will be the urban regions and cities of Japan. It will be a story of how the main characters live in such places and the transitions that happen within their hearts. Personally, I strongly believe that this will be a story that's needed not only for myself, but also my co-workers as well as all of the guests who have the desire to watch this and so I continue its production even now.

So that we can truly, fully express our meaning behind these stories, all of the staff will carefully work to draw out and put together their best artwork for this film. Please continue to be excited and wait for future follow-up reports to come.

Also please continue to stay tuned to our website, as we will also be translating the follow-up reports as they are released. Thanks and see you again soon!

Some general rules are now posted in the Akagi notes section to give you a basic understanding of the rules of Mahjong (though I don't know how helpful they really are if you don't already know how to play).

Also, if DarkIncin wasn't such a lazy ass, we'd have an Akagi image to use for posts like these. For now, though, enjoy some BtC action.

For those who inquire about one of the following things:
- Can you release your script?
- Can you split the file?
- OMGWTF the movie cuts off early!
- Anything else about BtC that is not in the <b>Notes section</b>

I will now point you to <b>our forums</b> and <b>the BtC FAQ right here.</b>

Beyond the Clouds is indeed a big file that could have been broken up into two CD-size files. The reason we went with one big file can be blamed on Assmo. In response to why he didn't want to split the file:

<Abismo> cus i don't wanna split the fucking file up
<Abismo> gg
<LordBrian> split it anyway, ass
<Abismo> no
<LordBrian> yes
<Abismo> no
<LordBrian> yes
<Abismo> no, and that's final gg sir
<LordBrian> yes times infinity no callbacks
<Abismo> i'm not doing it
<Abismo> so if you want it split
<Abismo> you'll have to do it your self.
<Cless> The Triad! It's always second grade in here!

So, you can see I tried. Direct all hate to Assmo.

Yep, the 2 year wait is over. Beyond the Clouds is finally out by Triad Fansubs. Now you can watch as a guy tries to impress a girl by saying he puts together guided missles just so he can put it on a plane that took 5 years to build to blow up a tower that's symbolic of many... things. It's a very touching scene, filled with emotion. But I digress...

Anyway...

Make sure you read the notes section about certain points of BtC. Thanks for waiting patiently for Beyond the Clouds, it is definitely well worth it. And most importantly, even though this copy looks pretty and whatnot, <b>buy the god damn DVD when it gets licensed</b>. Maybe Makoto Shinkai will get enough money to make another movie...

P.S. <b>Beyond the Clouds is using AC3 audio. If you don't use a media player which has a built in ac3 codec such as MPC, VLC, NVDVD, you will need a proper audio decoder if you want to hear sound. You can get one such decoder here</b>. Yes the file is extremely large, but it's well worth it. We may release a smaller, LQ copy for those who are bandwidth challeneged... maybe...

Just wanted to point out that according to the torrent tracker, on this day two years ago we released the first Pilot for Beyond the Clouds. And as fitting as it would have been to finally release it today, we're still not done perfecting it. So you bitches get to wait in suspense just a little longer!

I'm sure many of you have seen the report from ANN claiming that ADV had aquired the rights to "Beyond the Clouds, The Promised Place." However, in a recent update on the ANN website, which you can read in the link below, a little extra clarification on the initial report has been provided. The last paragraph should be a hint of things to come though. Remember, if this show becomes licensed for American distribution by any means, Triad will not be subbing this show.

We'll be putting up the trailer torrents again soon, so you can begin rejoicing again....... for now.
